The United States is on an unsustainable fiscal path that threatens the futures of our children and grandchildren. National debt exceeds $36 trillion and interest payments are almost $1 trillion annually. This desperate situation threatens the economic stability of future generations and undermines our national priorities.

Interest payments on the national debt surged to almost $1 trillion in 2025. Such crushing and unsustainable government borrowing could erode our national economic growth by crowding out private investment, increasing interest rates, and potentially leading to higher inflation … which is an unescapable tax on all Americans.

The growing debt burden is already affecting national priorities. In 2024, interest payments surpassed spending on Medicare and national defense. This burden will affect our ability to secure our borders, support our national security, build critical infrastructure, fund social priorities, and more. It is time for decisive action to restore fiscal integrity and secure a stable economic future for all Americans. It is imperative to implement comprehensive fiscal reforms that prioritize long-term economic stability over short-term political gains. 

National security encompasses more than just military readiness.  It must be encompass full-scope self-reliance. America's dependence on foreign sources for rare earth minerals, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing poses critical vulnerabilities. These resources are foundational to defense systems, medical readiness, and economic resilience. Without robust domestic capabilities, the U.S. risks strategic blackmail and supply chain disruptions during global crises. Energy independence—achieved through expanded domestic oil, gas, and nuclear production—further strengthens our geopolitical posture and reduces reliance on adversarial regimes. Similarly, securing reliable domestic food supplies is essential for national stability. Communications infrastructure must be hardened against foreign influence and cyber threats, especially from nations like China. Lastly, a secure border is non-negotiable. Open borders invite drug trafficking, terrorism, and unchecked migration that strains national resources and social cohesion. National security cannot be outsourced. A strong America begins with policies that prioritize domestic strength, sovereignty, and the protection of vital industries and infrastructure. 

Securing our nation’s borders is not just a matter of policy - it’s a matter of national sovereignty, safety, and economic stability. Border security is essential to protecting American citizens from the growing threats of illegal immigration, drug trafficking, and human smuggling. Every country has the right and responsibility to control who enters its territory, and the United States is no exception. A strong, secure border helps preserve the rule of law, ensures that immigration is legal and orderly, and defends our communities from criminal activity. Furthermore, unchecked immigration strains public resources, schools, and healthcare systems, placing unnecessary burdens on American taxpayers. By investing in physical barriers, advanced technology, and increased support for Border Patrol agents, we can restore control, uphold our laws, and put American families first. A secure border is a secure America - and that should be a top priority for Congress. 

 Energy is no longer just a utility - it's a strategic currency. For the U.S. to maintain economic strength, geopolitical leverage, and national security, it must ensure abundant, affordable, and domestically produced energy. Expensive or unreliable energy has already crippled industries in Europe, and the U.S. risks the same fate without clear-eyed policies. The energy strategy cannot succeed without nuclear and natural gas in the mix, as solar and wind are intermittent and insufficient for a high-energy economy. A secure energy base supports everything from food production to digital infrastructure, while also strengthening diplomatic alliances through energy exports. National security now depends on controlling critical supply chains, workforce development, and reliable access to resources like lithium, uranium, and steel. The U.S. must reassess its global commitments and infrastructure with energy at the center of strategy, ensuring that future administrations prioritize energy abundance over politically motivated rationing or misguided dependence on foreign sources. 

 The strength of the United States rests on the enduring principles of individual liberty and inalienable rights - not privileges dispensed by government, but inherent freedoms that form the foundation of our Republic. Today, these liberties face growing threats, particularly the First and Second Amendments. The First Amendment guarantees free speech, a cornerstone of a vibrant democracy. When government or corporate actors silence dissenting views, they erode the marketplace of ideas and threaten the core of civil society. Censorship is not safety - it is tyranny in disguise. Equally vital is the Second Amendment, which affirms the right of law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms. This right protects not just personal safety but the fundamental balance of power between the people and the state. Without it, liberty is left defenseless. Upholding free speech and the right to self-defense is essential to preserving limited government and the individual freedoms that make America exceptional.
